Congratulations to all the students who performed at Frank's Fall Piano Recital at Church of the Transfiguration, Toronto, Ontario. What a treat to see & hear so many polished performances! Thanks also goes out to Bassoonist, Lisa Griffiths for a very informative and entertaining performance.

Congratulations to Frank's students, Tiffany, Liz, Tuan, Alice, Dawn and Loic as they all performed exceptionally well at Contemporary Showcase at Christ Church Deer Park in Toronto. Special congratulation goes out to Thompson who was awarded a Scholarship for his fine performance. Contemporary Showcase features music composed by Canadians, held during Canada Music Week.

Performance of "Carnival of the Animals" by composer Camille St. Saens at the Metro Toronto Zoo. The performance featured Frank Horvat & Wendy Potter on piano along with the Scarborough Philharmonic Orchestra.

Congratulations to Frank's students who received the following for their performances at the Davenport Festival of Music in Toronto: 2nd place finishes for Alice & Loic, a 3rd place finish for Tuan, marks of 80% or higher to Liz, Cecilia, Dawn, Thompson & Ivy, and a mark of 75% for Steffany. All of you did very well; great work!

Performance of "Images Entre Nous" by composer Phil Nimmons, Lyceum Club, Toronto, Ontario, as part of "ORMTA Teachers-In-Concert". The performance featured Michele Jacot, clarinet and Frank Horvat, piano. Proceeds from the event went to scholarships for music students.

Frank's students, Alice & Dawn give stirring & courageous performances at the Kiwanis Music Festival both attaining marks above 80%. Congratulations!

Frank along with fellow piano educators, Gladys Odegard, Marlys Neufeldt, Ruth Kazden, & Julia Fong host the first "Adult Music Student Workshop/Discussion" at the home of Gladys Odegard. Topics discussed included technique, dealing with aches & pains, practice scheduling, and performance anxiety.
January 10 -17, 2000
Frank's students, Thompson, Dawn & Lisa successfuly complete their Royal Conservatory of Music Piano & Theory Exams all attaining marks above 80%. Congratulations!
