Congratulations to all of Frank's young students who performed at the Fall Piano Recital at Church of the Transfiguration, Toronto, Ontario. Frank also performed his new composition for solo piano, Filler' Up. Thanks to everyone for attending!

Frank makes an appearance on Jo @ Night, a civic affairs show on Rogers Community Television in Mississauga. Frank was among a panel of music educators discussing "How To Find A Music Teacher?".

Congratulations to Frank's students, Naomi, Osa, Tiffany, Cecilia, Tuan, Alice, Vicky & Katrina for their fine performances at Contemporary Showcase, a festival featuring music composed by Canadians, held during Canada Music Week.
November 10 & 24, 2001
Congratulations to Frank's students, Cecilia, Alice, Vicky & Loic for their efforts at the ORMTA auditions. Extra Congratulations goes to Alice & Loic for receiving Scholarships 2 weeks later at the ORMTA Scholarship Recital. ORMTA stands for the Ontario Registered Music Teachers' Association. This group organizes auditions where students develop their performance skills and receive helpful adjudication. The auditions acts as an excellent warm-up to an exam. If a student delivers a particularly fine audition, they will be invited to perform at a Recital and qualify to win a Scholarship.

Frank's composition, The Maturing Suite for Violin & Cello, has been selected to be included in the syllabus for Contemporary Showcase (2001-2005), an annual festival featuring music composed by Canadians, held during Canada Music Week in different centres accross Canada. The category is: Chamber Ensembles, Class 2502CH - Intermediate. Teachers or students can receive copies of the score by contacting Frank at contactme@frankhorvat.com.

Congratulations to Frank's students who recently successfully completed their Royal Conservatory of Music Examinations:
  • Tuan: Grade 4 Piano with 1st Class Honours
  • Katrina: Grade 6 Piano with 1st Class Honours
  • Emre: Grade 8 Piano with 1st Class Honours
  • Ivy: Grade 9 Piano with Honours
  • Alice: Pre. Rudiments Theory - 1st Class Honours with Distinction
What a super showing! All the months of preparation and focus really paid off.

Congratulations to all the students who performed at Frank's Spring Piano Recital at Church of the Transfiguration, Toronto, Ontario. All the students gave well prepared & polished performances enjoyed by everyone in attendance. Thanks also goes out to Pianist, Kong Kie Njo for an inspiring guest performance of pieces for Piano Duet.

Congratulations to Frank's students, Thomspon who successfuly completed his Royal Conservatory of Music Piano Exam at the Grade 8 level attaining Honours recognition & Irene who successfully completed her Grade 5 Piano Exam with First Class Honours. What a super performance!

Congratulations to all of Frank's students on their recent Conservatory Theory Exam results: Irene who received 1st Class Honours for Preliminary Rudiments, Vicky who received 1st Class Honours with Distinction for Preliminary Rudiments, Lisa who received 1st Class Honours with Distinction for Grade 3 Harmony, Alexsis who received 1st Class Honours for Grade 3 Harmony, Emre who received 1st Class Honours with Distinction for Grade 3 Harmony & Ivy who received 1st Class Honours for Grade 3 Harmony. Excellent job to a dedicated group of students!

Congratulations to Frank's students who received the following for their performances at the Davenport Festival of Music in Toronto: a 2nd place finish for Thompson, a 3rd place finish for Katrina, and marks of 80% or higher to Elizabeth, Steffany, Tiffany, Tuan, Vicky, Alice & Loic. All of you did very well at making beautiful music!

Congratulations to Frank's students, Emre & Dawn who received near perfect marks for their Conservatory Theory Rudiments Exams. Also, congratulations goes out to Alice, Dawn, Lisa and Emre for excellent results in their Conservatory Piano Exams.
