Congratulations to all of Frank's young students who performed at the Fall Piano Recital at Church of the Transfiguration, Toronto, Ontario. Special thanks goes out to our guest performers, Tracy Lai (piano) and Grant Cowan (tuba).
November 18 - 20, 2002
Congratulations to Frank's students, Osa, Alexander, Serena, Tuan, Christopher, Alice, Vicky, Tiffany, Devon, Katrina & Cecilia for their fine performances at Contemporary Showcase, a festival featuring music composed by Canadians, held during Canada Music Week.
November 9 & 23, 2002
Congratulations to Frank's students, Cecilia, Alice, Vicky & Emre for their efforts at the ORMTA auditions. Extra Congratulations goes out to all four who 2 weeks later, advanced on to the ORMTA Scholarship Recital. ORMTA stands for the Ontario Registered Music Teachers' Association. This group organizes auditions where students develop their performance skills and receive helpful adjudication. If a student delivers a particularly fine audition, they will be invited to perform at a Recital and qualify to win a Scholarship.

Frank attends the Ontario Registered Music Teachers' Association's Convention in Timmins, Ontario, where he had the opportunity of participating in many enlightening workshops on a variety of teaching subjects.

Congratulations to Frank's students who received the following for their performances at the Davenport Festival of Music in Toronto: a 2nd place finish for Cecilia & Katrina, a 3rd place finish for Tuan & Osa, and excellent marks to Devon, Christopher, Tiffany, Alice, Vicky, Dawn & Loic. All of you did very well at making beautiful music!

Performance of Filler' Up, a piece for solo piano by composer Frank Horvat, at the Heliconian Hall, Toronto, as part of a benefit concert in support of the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The performance featured Frank Horvat, piano, along with many other performances.

Performance of Piano Piece No. 4, a piano duet by composer Frank Horvat, Church of the Holy Trinity, Toronto, Ontario, as part of "Salon des Refusées". The performance featured Kong Kie Njo and Frank Horvat, piano, along with many other performances.

Performance of Seriously Sweet, a piece for cello and piano by composer Frank Horvat, Women's Art Association, 23 Prince Arthur Ave., Toronto, Ontario, as part of "ORMTA Teachers-In-Concert". The performance featured Alan Stellings, cello and Frank Horvat, piano, along with many other performances.

Frank conducts a talk to teaching colleagues from the Ontario Registered Music Teachers' Association - Central Toronto Branch on the various types of computer software that aid in musical development.
