
Meet Nicola Mogavero, a saxophonist living in Italy.
Nicola Mogavero studied saxophone at Conservatorio di Musica di Stato “V.Bellini” of Palermo, under the guidance of G. Palma and I. Calderone, where he obtained Diploma with the maximum of the votes in 2003 and the Academic Diploma 2nd level in Classical Saxophone with the maximum of the votes and cum laude in the 2008. In 2014, he obtained the Academic Diploma 2nd level in Composition under the guide of Maestro Marco Betta with maximum of the votes, cum laude and special mention for his Rapsodia Mediterranea for Alto sax and Strings.
He has collaborated with the Orchestra Sinfonica Siciliana, with Filarmonica of Gran Teatro la Fenice in Venice, with Teatro Vittorio Emanuele in Messina, with the Orchestra of the Ente Luglio Musicale Trapanese, the Teatro Biondo Stabile of Palermo, the Orchestra Jazz Siciliana, and he has played as a soloist with the Orchestra Sinfonica del Mediterraneo in the realization of the BeatleSymphony project. He has frequented numerous Stages and Master Classes. He has won the first prize in numerous international contests in the categories of Chamber and Contemporary Music.
